ABOUT THE FACULTY
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at David Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia is a
modern academic space that offers students high-quality, student-centered education, internationally
standardized programs, and curricula aligned with the demands of the national labor market.
The faculty’s activities are based on the mission of the university, whose main goal is to prepare
specialists with high professional competence, responsibility, democratic values, and critical thinking
skills. The faculty supports the professional and personal development of students while upholding the
principles of academic freedom, equality, inclusiveness, and lifelong learning.
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities implements bachelor’s and master’s degree programs
based on modern requirements, combining theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and research
components. Today, the faculty offers the following educational programs:
• Bachelor’s Program in Journalism;
• Master’s Program in Journalism;
• Bachelor’s Program in International Relations;
• Master’s Program in International Relations;
• Bachelor’s Program in English Philology.
The faculty’s priority is the high quality of teaching and research, the introduction of innovative teaching
methods, access to modern learning resources, and the development of professional skills. To achieve
these goals, the university provides modern infrastructure, material and technical resources, an extensive
library collection, and digital educational opportunities. The university also operates its own licensed
television station SDASU TV where journalism students gain practical experience and are actively
involved in the production of programs.
The faculty places special emphasis on the diversity of student life and the development of the academic
community. Students actively participate in scientific conferences, research projects, as well as cultural,
educational, and community events, which contributes to the development of their leadership,
communication, and professional skills, as well as their successful integration into modern society.
