Forensic Laboratory

For more than two years, the law school of David Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia has been operating a forensic laboratory, which is fully equipped with international standards. With the help of qualified specialists, students have the opportunity to fully study forensic techniques, tactics and the most important issues of investigating and solving certain types of crimes, such as finding, removing, fixing and examining traces and other evidence, conducting investigative activities, crimes against human life, property and other types of crimes. Peculiarities of investigation methodology. Accordingly, law school students have the opportunity to gain practical experience along with theoretical knowledge within the framework of the criminology training course, which will contribute to the formation of their practical skills. Lectures and seminars on specialization disciplines using video material are held in the laboratory. In order to deepen knowledge, all conditions for independent laboratory work of students are created here. Scientific-technical and forensic-technical means, tools, educational methodological and informational materials are available for students. More than 100 models, exhibits, tools and other means that can be used to reveal traces of crime are collected in the forensic laboratory. The laboratory is equipped with computer programs for forensic purposes (for example, a program for creating a photo-composite portrait of a person, etc.). Simulated games are held in the laboratory, during which students develop the ability to solve typical investigative situations. The laboratory equipment provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills for teaching all types of forensics components.
