A Forensic Laboratory has been operating at the Faculty of Law of David Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia for more than two years. The laboratory’s technical equipment and software fully comply with international standards.

With the assistance of qualified specialists, students have the opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of forensic techniques and tactics, as well as the investigation and detection of specific types of crime. Particular attention is given to such essential matters as the detection, collection, documentation, and examination of traces and other evidence; the conduct of investigative actions; and the specific methods used to investigate crimes against human life, property, and other types of criminal offences.

Accordingly, within the Forensic Science course, law students are able to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, thereby developing essential professional skills.

In addition to student training, the laboratory also provides professional development opportunities for practitioners, enabling them to enhance their qualifications and obtain a certificate confirming the completion of the relevant training programme.
