Law and Governance Research Centre Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Comparative Law, Belgrade!

The Law and Governance Research Centre at David Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Comparative Law in Belgrade, Serbia, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at advancing academic excellence and international legal research.

The Institute of Comparative Law, founded in 1955, is one of the oldest and leading research institutions in the field of comparative and international law in Serbia and the Western Balkans. It is internationally recognized for its contributions to legal scholarship, comparative legal research, legislative development, and international academic cooperation.

The Memorandum establishes a framework for long-term cooperation between the two institutions in areas of mutual interest, including:

  • Joint research projects and publications;
  • Organization of international conferences, seminars, and workshops;
  • Development of collaborative educational and scientific initiatives; and
  • Academic exchange of researchers and experts;
  • Promotion of comparative legal studies and good governance.

This partnership reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening international academic cooperation, fostering innovative legal research, and creating new opportunities for scholars, researchers, and students.
