labour-market-oriented educational programmes, while upholding the principles of academic freedom and institutional autonomy.<\/p>\n<p>The training of highly qualified professionals in Medicine and Dentistry who are competitive in both domestic and international labour markets is based on the following principles: an in-depth and comprehensive study of biomedical sciences; the development of a solid theoretical foundation for the subsequent study of clinical disciplines; the appropriate application of scientific knowledge and principles through sound methodological approaches; the
