Davit Aghmashenebeli University of Georgia is actively involved in the cultural life of the country. The University has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Museum of Theater, Music, Cinema and Choreography. Therefore SDASU students have an opportunity to take an active part in various cultural programs, in particular for organizing and planning exhibitions, expositions and art competitions. Representatives of SDASU-TV and university students are eligible to view unique archival and museum stocks of national importance in order for the young generation to get acquainted with and promote national heritage. SDASU-TV and the museum will start implementation of the joint project; students of media school are able to prepare exclusive reports on Georgian cinema, theatre and musical art, based on known and unknown documents reserved in the museum. They also have access to a unique archives of cinema, to the memory of well-known film directors, to the art of editing and planning. All this enables students to get acquainted with the rich heritage and master modern technologies. We organize poetry evenings where students read their own poems; frequent creative concerts are also organized by students. The SDASU Folk Ensemble and Vocal-Instrumental Band have featured several clips in University Television.
